Mark Evans

(Nick Hern Books)

Mark has been writing and script editing for TV, radio and film for over a quarter of a century, and is consequently quite tired now. He created and wrote five series of Sony Award-winning comedy Bleak Expectations for BBC Radio 4; a Christmas Special and mini-series The Bleak Old Shop of Stuff for BBC Two; and the Audible original comedy Raj! which he co-created with Meera Syal.

Amongst his other credits, he was a major contributor to and appeared in five series of BAFTA-winning That Mitchell and Webb Look; did the same for three series of CBBC's Sorry, I've Got No Head; was one of the originating writers on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway; has written multiple episodes of childrens's shows such as Hank Zipzer, Dani's Castle and Millie Inbetween; co-wrote two episodes of BBC Three's Bluestone 42; is script editor for R4's Reluctant Persuaders; contributed material to hit film Johnny English Strikes Again; and, over the years, has written multiple facetious messages in Christmas and birthday cards to friends and family.
